“We’re super excited, so happy to be here,” Lucia de la Garza says during the performance. “Just [a] cool space. We’re playing in the library once more.”
This is the second time the Linda Lindas have performed at a library. They became viral sensations in early 2021 after performing at LA Public Library, leading them to sign with legendary punk label Epitaph Records.
In addition, the Linda Lindas dropped their full-length debut, Growing Up, April 8. In an interview with Alternative Press, the band spoke about the album. “Punk isn’t just one thing,” Mila de la Garza explains. “You can make it anything you want it to be. I think that’s what we wanted to do — we wanted to make punk our own.”
